2. Victoria Hand

People may not remember Victoria Hand’s time in the Marvel Comics. It was short lived in the comics and in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Victoria Hand was a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who worked in business affairs. Despite not being in the field and having all the cool gadgets, Victoria Hand believed in making the world a better place. She was transferred to Portland, Oregon after she sent a letter to Nick Fury voicing her, quote, ” ...personal disappointment in your inability to make any forward momentum in our war against global terrorism.” After this, her girlfriend left her because she specifically told her not to send this letter that reason.

When Norman Osborn became head of S.H.I.E.L.D. (which he turned into H.A.M.M.E.R.) he appointed Victoria Hand as his second in command. Hand was around Norman’s Avengers and never took any crap from them even though they were more powerful than she was. When Moonstone (posing as Ms. Marvel for the public) stepped out of line, Hand blasted her without hesitating once.

Even though she was on the wrong side, Hand is the reason Norman Osborn kept it together as long as he did. When Steve Rogers was put back in charge, Hand played a triple agent. Spying on Luke Cage’s Avengers for Osborn while she spied on Osborn for Steve Rogers. It was a dangerous game and she played her role smashingly. Without her, Captain America would’ve been killed, and the combination of Hand, Hydra, and Norman Osborn fanatics might have taken over the world.
