Head of the MCU Kevin Feige says that permanent deaths will happen in Avengers Infinity War

Before Avengers Infinity War was announced, fans were already anticipating the deaths of at least one Marvel superhero. There have been some brushes with death and characters that were thought to be dead. Though nothing proved to be permanent, however, that can all change. In fact, when speaking to ET, producer Kevin Feige spoke about death in MCU and how it will play a role in Infinity War.

"“Yes. I mean, I could always list off the characters that we’ve killed in our movies that haven’t come back, but the big ones, which I know they’re looking at… I would just say, yes. People need to be careful what they wish for.”"

Of course, he didn’t reveal who will ascend to the pearly gates of MCU heaven but that won’t stop us from speculating. Here are 5 heroes fans can expect to die in Infinity War.

5. Iron Man

For more than 17-years actor Robert Downey Jr has been synonymous with two franchises Sherlock Holmes, and of course Marvel as Tony Stark aka Iron Man. There have been some speculative reports that Iron Man will be around in 2019 for the untitled Marvel Avengers film. However, maybe it’ll be another leading the charge against a big bad.
According to the Toronto Sun, the Iron Man actor spoke about the idea of hanging up.

"“It’s like with a team if you’re going to hang up your jersey, you want to make sure the team is in good shape and they can still compete at a high level, because ultimately that’s what made the whole thing worth doing anyways,”"

We have no idea if Downey will hang it up, but the MCU has already begun the process of ushering in new talent. With Spider-Man and Black Panther becoming critical and box office sensations the new wave of MCU talent is already on the rise. The MCU also has Ant-Man, played by Paul Rudd who will provide the comedic charm, and soon they’ll have a super powered heroine in Ms. Marvel (Brie Larson) so maybe it’s time for Thanos to retire him in Infinity War.
