9. Starfire

Starfire is synonymously associated with the Teen Titans. Her story vegans with her journey from the now-destroyed planet Tamaran where she was known as Princess Koriand’r. Starfire is a confident heroine who isn’t ashamed of her looks as evident in her attire and attitude. She’s openly flirtatious even going so far as to kiss men because it’s fun, but when its time to throw down, her intensity and willingness scrap is second to none. Her rage is so intense that her Titans teammates had to restrain her out of feat that she’d murder her opposition. Starfire has confessed her dying love for Titans-mate Dick Grayson who she almost married, but a more modern take on Starfire sees her non-romantically linked up with a different former Robin.

In 2011 she’s been reintroduced, instead being a privileged princess her story was altered so that her sister, Blackfire sold her into slavery before she crash-landed on her Earth. She would battle Jason Todd before joining his team of misfit heroes, the Outlaws. Unlike her previous version, this Starfire has depth where anger and vengefulness fuels her. Starfire would also help Dick Grayson become more of his own hero and man away from his mentor.

Starfire along with the other Titans have had two cartoons dedicated to them. Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go — she has yet to be depicted in live-action. However, as of August 2017, it was announced that Starfire would be played by actress Anna Diop in a live-action TV show titled, Titans for DC’s upcoming streaming service.
