6. Catwoman

Catwoman is arguably the most popular female superhero in all of comics. Granted, she was once a burglar and enemy of Batman. There are two major origins, one follows her as a prostitute in East End who tried but failed to beat up the man who physically abused her mom. The other is cleaner but in both she learns how to fight, thanks to Ted Grant. She would go on to receive training from Ted Grant and killed the man who tormented her. Inspired by Batman, Selena would design a suit that would allow her to operate unseen as a criminal in depths of Gotham City. However, she has since turned over a new leaf.

Catwoman makes this list is because of her stint with Gotham City Sirens, a famous group of villains who joined forces protect Gotham in Batman’s absence. The group was lead by Poison Ivy with Harley Quinn creating a bad ass trio of heroes to save their city. Catwoman would later complete a full transformation into a hero as the protector of East End, Gotham.
