10. Gambit

At No. 10 is the mutant from the Big Easy, New Orleans, Remy LeBeau. The smoother, sly, bo-staff wielding, card thrower utilizes connected energy that causes any object he touches to explode. LeBeau is one of the most recognizable X-Men because of persona, relationship with Rogue, and his introduction. After having his life saved one the most sadistic mutants in the X-Men comics, Mr. Sinister. Gambit was asked to gather and lead a team known as the Marauders. Unknowingly, Gambit was leading the team to slaughter the underground mutants who called themselves the Morlocks.

Once he realized what was going to happen he tried to stop what would be known as the Mutant Massacre. Gambit would later join the X-Men he and Storm would share a bond and he’d enter a relationship with Rogue. Gambit would also become a member of the X-Force. He’d also play a major role in the X-Men’s battle against Sinister which saw Gambit in the wrong side of Wolverine’s claws, in a battle to protect our No. 6 mutant on the list. His popularity would lead him into getting a miniseries and even has long anticipated solo movie being developed by Fox.
