3. Vincent D’Onofrio as WIlson “Kingpin” Fisk

Charlie Cox may have taken the character of Matt Murdock and Daredevil and made him popular, but a hero is nothing without a villain to make him overcome. Not only do I believe that Vincent D’Onofrio is the greatest villain in Marvel Cinematic Universe, he also gave us everything we needed and wanted from a villain and then gave us some more.

Vincent D’Onofrio took the Kingpin and made him a business man first. We heard the name Kingpin and we knew it was Wilson Fisk was, but it was a slow build. D’Onofrio went from “legitimate” businessman and a sentimental guy looking at art to the ruthless and aggressive Kingpin. The transition was amazing. D’Onofrio didn’t stay aggressive the entire movie. That’s not how Wilson Fisk does things. He went back and fourth. The first time we saw Wilson Fisk kill a guy, it was a memorable scene because he was the exact opposite of what he had been.

Later, we find out why he is who he is. This helped us understand why Fisk was the way he was and felt bad for him. The scene where he and Ben Urich talk is maybe the best scene in the Daredevil series. Even after knowing he’s a bad guy, you understand his rage. D’Onofrio was flat out amazing. After another few seasons, he could challenge for the number one spot.
