8. Darkseid

This character was a big marketing ploy for the video game. He’s one of the most powerful beings in the DC Universe, think of him as the equivalent of Thanos from Marvel. I always thought this character was a little overrated in the video game. Sure he looks very intimating and his attacks are very strong when it lands, but the character isn’t very balanced and is not used correctly could put a player at a major disadvantage. He is very slow moving and looks like he is fighting while holding back.

However, his super move is one of the best. Where he uses his laser beam eyes and blasts the opponent into space, crashing onto asteroids as a giant fist from a vortex crushes everything. It is epic on a galactic scale and looks very cool. Darkseid can also summon parademons into the fight to fire lasers, drop mines and assist on combos. But besides these flashy attacks, there were more exciting new fighters to look forward to.
