7. Zach McGowan

Zach McGowan is a 37-year old actor mostly known for his TV roles. For McGowan, playing the role of Wolverine would come easy since many of his roles are similar. In Black Sails, his character Captain Charles Vane is tempered savage soon to leader of the entire New Providence. Another character that was similar was the one he played in The 100 as the prince and eventual king of the Ice Nation, Roan. Roan was a skilled fighter and like his Black Sails character he was vicious but showed kindness qualities that are needed when playing Wolverine. McGowan is 6 and has the “look” that serves as a necessary quality to make a convincing Wolverine.

6. Dylan O’Brien

Whether it’s the comedic character Stiles on MTV’s Teen Wolf, or as the main star for a trilogy in Maze Runner, Dylan O’Brien has shown he’s a star. At first glance you might think he doesn’t have the look, and maybe the voice might be a concern. But if you take a close look at his short career, the thought of him playing Wolverine isn’t a bad one.

O’Brien’s talents can’t be denied and if you’ve watched American Assassin you’ll see him display the pain necessary to play Wolverine. Of course being 26 makes things difficult for fans to swallow because a young Wolverine isn’t something we’re familiar with. Still, it’s not like Wolverine ages like everyone else and should they decide to role with this current crop of X-Men where the cast are still in their early to mid-20s then have a younger Wolverine isn’t a bad idea.
