Tyler Hoechlin is mostly known for his TV roles which started with 7th Heaven in 2003. Over the years, the 30-year-old has proven to be a really solid actor. In fact, his most recent performance on CW’s Supergirl has the internet buzzing, though some of the news what about how he looked in his spandex. The other buzz worthy news came from his performance as Superman. Some even thought that his version trumped the DCEU’s Henry Cavil’s portrayal of both Clark Kent and the Man of Steel. Hoechlin was so good that there was talk about him possibly getting his own spin-off series.
While Superman is a far cry from Wolverine, Hoechlin does have one other thing that’s important, albeit not the most important… the look. He’s scruffy and has the bad boy persona that makes him cool enough for men to like and the looks that make women want to be with him — perfect for Wolverine. If you want no need to look further than his Teen Wolf character Derek.
On the MTV horror drama, Hoechlin played a loner — a bad boy with a heart. Plus when he transformed into a werewolf he really did look the part. Hoechlin isn’t just a TV actor though, he has appeared in movies like the critically acclaimed 2016 film Everybody Wants Some and his most recent appearance was in Fifty Shades Freed. He’d make a believable Wolverine that’s a rival to Cyclops on a mission or for Jeans affection, though the latter should much less a focus this time around.
