The formation of an all-new, all-different Avengers

Clearly, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4 is all about passing the torch to a new generation. Hence the scene where Tony “knights” Peter Parker (Tom Holland) and says, “Congratulations, kid. You’re an Avenger now.” And Spider-Man, once he comes back, will be an Avenger in future MCU films. More specifically, he’ll be a “reserve Avenger,” since he’ll still want to protect his “friendly neighborhood.”

We also know, thanks to the post-credits scene, that Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) is coming. She’ll definitely have a major role in Avengers 4, and I think this lead to her becoming the Avengers’ new leader. Moreover, if Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor were the big three of the original Avengers, Captain Marvel, Black Panther, and Doctor Strange will be the next big three.

Falcon, Wanda, and a rebuilt Vision, I think, will form the rest of the new Avengers. Whether Rhodey survives Avengers 4 or not, I’m guessing he, like Robert Downey Jr., will bow out. Ant-Man and Wasp could join as members, too, though that’ll depend upon a possible Avengers 5.

What would really be interesting is if the beginning of Avengers 4, we meet a new team of Avengers recruited by Tony. We already know about the older Cassie, but it’s also rumored Ty Simpkins will reprise his role as Harley Keener from Iron Man 3 (2013). Maybe he dons another version of the Iron Man armor? Also, wouldn’t Shuiri, in this future, be the new Black Panther? If so, we might have a version of the Young Avengers opening the film.

Yet whatever lies in store, Marvel Studios will undoubtedly find some way to continue the Avengers movie franchise, even without the original six members. Whatever form that will take is definitely one reason for us to keep on eye on Avengers 4.

Now that I’ve made my predictions, let’s hear some of yours. Do you think a plot involving time travel is credible? If so, what do expect the ramifications will be from the Avengers messing around with time? Who do you expect to survive when, no pun intended, the dust has settled? Finally, what do you think the title of the fourth Avengers film will be called?
