21. Deadpool and Black Swan

Deadpool has a habit of messing up assignments. Sometimes he won’t complete a contract because it goes against his moral compass and sometimes he’ll take a payout from the person he’s supposed to kill.

One time, he was paid to kill a guy and completely botched it. He fell from the roof and took four shots and seemingly hit not only his target but three others in the heart. This was a big hit and put Deadpool in a higher class of mercenaries. Deadpool was getting so big that he created a company called Deadpool Inc. and things were going great. Problem was, he didn’t hit those targets. A snobby mercenary named Black Swan hit those targets and he was not happy about this.

Swan faked a job in Germany to get Deadpool to come to visit him. When Deadpool arrived, he used his telepathy to erase Wade’s memory and destroy his motor skills and had him shipped back to his base beaten within an inch of his life the entire flight back. Deadpool mixed up words like doorknob and gun and couldn’t hit a shot to save his life. Deadpool ended up getting his revenge by killing Swan by blowing up his castle with him in it.

While Black Swan was a forgettable character, it did lead to the series, and the character Agent X.  He had Wade’s healing powers and Black Swans skill with a gun. Black Swan may not be a popular character in the comics, but he could make an appearance in the movies.
