29. When Deadpool met Siryn

Juggernaut and Tom captured Dr. Killebrew to help Black Tom. Tom’s body was deforming due to his mutant powers and causing him a ton of pain. Killebrew assumed the key to helping Tom relied on getting a sample of Deadpool’s healing factor. Just by chance, Theresa Cassidy and her father Sean Cassidy (Banshee) happened to be looking for Tom as well and saved Deadpool from being captured. The second Wade saw Theresa, he fell in love.

After meeting Siryn, Wade became infatuated with her. He would sneak over to where she lived and watch over her as she slept. Later, he called on Theresa to help him find Killebrew to boost his healing factor. Wade couldn’t forgive the torture he received from Killebrew. If not for Theresa, Wade would have killed him. Theresa mentioned she knew that Deadpool watched over her as she slept. She said it made her and it made her feel safe to dream. Deadpool spared Killebrew’s life and despite Wade wanting more from Theresa, they remained friends.

Siryn and Wade kept a very weird relationship (with Deadpool, every relationship is weird). Sometimes she would help him and sometimes she wouldn’t. Regardless of what happened, he never stopped loving her. He would go to the ends of the universe to help her. If Wade never met her, he may not have tried so hard to become a better person. Wade has stated that he did it for her.
