1. The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

There have been a lot of important moments in Deadpool’s life. Some of them were funny and some of them were deep. None of them defined his character going forward more than the arc Deadpool: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. This was a story that changed the direction of Deadpool forever.

Deadpool used to volunteer his body for experimentation to a scientist named Dr. Bartol Utler (also known as Dr. Butler). As time went on, Deadpool decided he didn’t want to be used anymore. When he refused, Deadpool would be randomly tranquilized and his organs were stolen while he was unconscious. Butler would use these organs as he seemed fit.

Later, Deadpool was captured and told if he tried to escape his daughter and the mother would be killed. Also, Captain America and Wolverine were also kidnapped because Deadpool went to them for help. After Deadpool rescued his fellow heroes and frees the prisoners, he finds his child’s mother dead in a mass grave.

As you’ve seen from this list, Deadpool has had his fair share of profound and life-altering moments. Wade got married, became a father, gained the respect of Steve Rogers and Wolverine, and became an Avenger. Then he lost it all. He went on to alienate everyone close to him, lost his status as Avenger, and went back to trying to kill himself. All of these moments started with this series.
