The Flash: 4 predictions for the season 4 finale

1. Mystery Girl’s identity will be revealed

As with any TV series, The Flash invested time into multiple arcs throughout Season 4. But one of the show’s most intriguing storylines was the one with the least screentime — simply because we still know so very little about it. And that, is none other than the arrival of the Mystery Girl.

Portrayed by Jessica Parker Kennedy, the character first appeared at Barry and Iris’s wedding, acting rather familiar around Barry — as though she knew him. She would then resurface sporadically throughout the series, interacting with Caitlin, Harry and Joe. However, she seemed reluctant to meet Iris and disappeared before she showed up, showcasing that she is indeed a speedster. But all this just left us wondering: Who is she?

There have been multiple theories put forward to suggest that she is Dawn Allen — Barry and Iris’s daughter from the future. There’s also a possibility that she could be Joe and Cecile’s child, also from the future (she does know the exact date of their baby’s birth). But despite the convincing theories and suggestions, we’re still very much in the dark about her true identity.

With the season nearing its close, you can bet that this arc will reach some form of conclusion in the season finale. Whether she helps the team take down DeVoe, or just surfaces in another post-credits scene, it’s likely that the viewers will finally learn her name. But could she be the center of Season 5? Let’s wait and see.
