Scott Lang’s current Avenger status is similar to Clint Barton; he is anti-Accords during the Civil War, ends up on the Raft, and cuts a deal with the government when Cap breaks him out because he also has a family, or at least a daughter he doesn’t wish to disappoint.

The astonishing Ant-Man is mentioned by Captain America in Infinity War, which is a good narrative-based indicator that he will be involved in the sequel, but the most concrete evidence comes with reports that Paul Rudd has been spotted on set.

Evangeline Lilly, who plays the winsome Wasp, first turns up as Hope van Dyne in Ant-Man. She doesn’t suit up during the origin story; nonetheless her winged super suit is unveiled in a mid-credits tease. The release dates of Infinity War, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and Avengers 4 have been scheduled for some time now and speaking with SyFy at New York Comic Con way back in 2016, Lilly made the following statement:

"There’s an Avengers series coming out. It’s a two-parter. And the Wasp won’t be in the first part, she’ll be in the second part, because they really want to preserve that reveal for Ant-Man and the Wasp."

Straight from the insect’s mouth, we can expect to see the wondrous Wasp in the fourth Avengers after making a proper superhero debut in Ant-Man and the Wasp early next month. The trailer reveals that the plot of the Ant-Man sequel will take place post-Civil War and we will have to wait and see how the diminutive duo will fit into the larger Infinity storyline.
