There are a number of Batman characters getting movies. We can’t help but think that Walter Hamada is using Batman to shape the  DCEU

The convoluted narrative of the DC’s Extended Universe is why Warner Bros. brought Walter Hamada over from New Line Cinema. Despite the financial success of the DCEU, the majority of the movies were critically canned. With expecting of Wonder Woman, and to some extent Man of Steele — their movies lacked storytelling. In fact, it seemed to rely on the names and DC Comics brand to attract fans. With Hamada on board, it the DCEU has direction. And the foundation for his DCEU relies on Batman’s universe — here’s why.

Jared Leto’s Joker solo movie

Joker is the most well-known villain inside DC Comics. Therefore, giving him the spotlight in a solo film could be a good thing. Jared Leto’s Joker deserves some spotlight after what happened in Suicide Squad. And despite his minimal screen time, Leto won some fans over.

One major problem, however, was his bland back-story. Which is why we think giving him a solo movie makes sense. The great thing about the Joker is that he doesn’t have an exact origin story. However, we think there is one that works aa the obvious choice, The Killing Joke

Desperate for cash, the former engineer adopted the Red Hood persona and enlisted some men to help him rob his old workplace. Sadly, before he could finish planning he received a phone call that his pregnant wife and unborn child were dead. Still, he went through with the plans. However, the gang got busted.

Red Hood tried to escape Batman by jumping into a tub of chemicals. The exposure transforming him into a murderous psychopath. With some tweaks and changes, we’ll get a chance to really get invested. It’s something that the Fox series, Gotham has done well with the character Jerome. This would be a great way to build up to Batman featuring Joker film and tie into another movie Batman universe movie currently in development.
