1. Armie Hammer

There hasn’t been any name more rumored for the DCEU than Armie Hammer (31), deservedly so. The young actor is very talented with a captivating presence — it doesn’t hurt that he’s 6’5. Hammer’s resume is littered with roles that lend itself to Batman. His early work especially, like Social Network, as the Winklevoss twins. And so does his role as Clyde Tolson in J. Edgar.

Hammer has the “look” and the brass voice to pull off the Caped Crusader. It also doesn’t hurt that he has already stared alongside Superman (Henry Cavil) in The Man from U.N.C.L.E. As a matter of fact, his role as the brooding Russian agent makes him ideally suited for Batman.

We’d like to see Hammer in a story where we can have Robin featured. There’s arguably no better story than Batman: Dark Victory. This story is more of an in-depth look at Dick Grayson’s origin. In turn, we get to see a different side of Batman. We’ll get answers to why Dick became Robin. The exploration of the relationship between Bruce and Dick is one that would make for a fantastic emotional story. It’s something that we’ve seen from Matt Reeves in Let Me In and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.
