5. Tyler Hoechlin

Tyke Hoechlin (30) is still relatively unknown. Although, fans of Teen Wolf will recognize him as the bad boy wolf, Derek Hale. The dark broodiness he portrayed on the MTV series aids in his selection on the list. On the other hand, he’s shown a lighter side as Superman on CW’s Supergirl.

Hoechlin isn’t a foreigner when it comes to the big screen. He’s played in Everybody Wants Some and Fifty Shades Freed. Hoechlin will play former bodybuilder, Joe Weider, co-founder of Mr. Olympia in the biopic, Bigger. With his newfound physique and fresh face, he’d be a great actor to build a Batman universe around.

Both Madden and Hoechlin would be excellent in a story that explores Bruce in a relationship. The perfect arch in Batman: Year One. It’s a classic story about Bruce Wayne’s return to Gotham after a 12-year absence. Bruce has returned home as an ass-kicking vigilante.

At the same time, Gotham gets a new police commissioner, Jim Gordon. It’s as much of a Jim Gordon origin story as it is a Batman’s. We’ve seen some of the Year One depicted in Chris Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy. Nevertheless, a truer depiction of it is more than welcome.
