Amazing comic book movies that aren’t Marvel or DC Comics

The Losers combined a cast of well known actors (Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Zoe Saldana) and some who were just starting to make a name for themselves (Chris Evans, Idris Elba, and Columbus Short). This was a comic book movie that didn’t have a lot of buzz coming from the general public, but it looked good. While it may not have done well at the box office, it was a great action flick even if you didn’t know the story. Ton of action, explosions (if you enjoy Michael Bay movies), a decent story, and characters that fit in great and had amazing chemistry.
Despite all of the light hearted moments, this movie has more than a few extremely dark moments. The movie starts with kids dying after being saved. This set the tone early. Then there was Jason Patric as Max. He was as ruthless and uncaring as a lot of villains we’ve seen. He shot a woman for moving the umbrella from over his head. What makes this bad is it wasn’t her fault. A gust of wind moved the umbrella. He was cold blooded.
Unfortunately, it bombed at the theaters barely making back what it spent to make the movie. Like a lot of movies, sometimes movies don’t do well at the box office but get better reviews and praise after the movie has gone to cable since it’s now free to watch. The movie ends with some unanswered questions and their won’t be a sequel. That said, it’s still a really fun movie that should be in the collection of anybody who’s a fan of action movies.
