Details about the first of many Harley Quinn movies are coming out and Margot Robbie hints at a new costume for the Birds of Prey movie.

There’s no mistaking Margot Robbie’s excitement about the next chapter in the Harley Quinn cinematic universe. In an interview with Yahoo Entertainment, Robbie revealed quite a few juicy tidbits about the first project, Birds of Prey, including a new costume for Harley Quinn.

When fans got a look at Harley Quinn’s costume in 2016’s Suicide Squad, there was a decidedly mixed reaction. On the one hand, the use of blue and red in her costume and in her hair was a departure – both good and bad – from what fans were used to seeing. On the other hand, the Harley Quinn of the comic book universe is never seen wearing the same outfit more than once. She’s got a seemingly endless wardrobe, so as long as her look changes from film to film, some fans were willing to go along for the ride.

Robbie discussed the plans for a new look, noting that while there’s nothing definitive on paper (yet), a new costume is part of her plan: “No, honestly [it’s] because the costumes haven’t been designed yet but yes she’ll have new looks. There will be new Halloween costumes out there, one day.”

While Harley Quinn’s costume might seem like a minor detail, it’s a big deal for her legions of fans who enjoy bringing her to life at pop culture conventions and at costume parties. After rising through the ranks of DC Comics’ pantheon of characters, Harley Quinn has become one of the most beloved characters despite the fact that she’s only been around for 26 years. Even so, there’s no mistaking the allure of the character who loves to toe the line between good and bad. She might be listed as a villain, but Harley sticks up for the little guy and she doesn’t let anyone mess with her friends.
