No crossovers

Crisis on Earth-X brought together the CW shows Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow where they battled Nazi’s and alternate versions of themselves. In order to get the complete story you had to watch each of the four shows. Also, if you’ve never seen one of those shows, it might be difficult to get into. Especially if you don’t like one of the characters you’re being introduced to. The crossover may have been successful, but it’s a good idea to keep Black Lightning away from things like this.

Black Lightning may have been a good addition to Crisis on Earth X considering the involvement of Nazis and their thoughts on black people, but it was good that he wasn’t. It’s good that Black Lightning doesn’t need a crossover to be a star show. Even if it gave the show a ratings boost, at what expense?

Black Lightning doesn’t fit with them. He’s much older and more experienced. Maybe Jefferson’s daughters Anissa and Jennifer could work, but keeping them away from the rest of the Arrowverse assures that they’ll grow to be different from what we’ve seen. It would almost seem like they’d be learning from them instead of from their father and on their own.
