Different versions of the heroes

One great thing about the CW is that their heroes are different from what we’ve seen in the comic books and the movies (although, Stephen Amell should be Green Arrow in the DCU). In Black Lightning, there is an opportunity to still bring in Stephen Amell and Grant Gustin as their CW characters, but not as their representations from their shows. Since Black Lightning is so different from Flash and Arrow, it would make sense that if they are going to appear that they should be different.

While I stated earlier that Black Lightning should stay away from the Arrowverse, that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be affiliated with DC Comics characters. Having characters from the Justice League show up could be great. If Arrow or Flash of that universe show up, Jefferson could have a heart to heart about how they don’t care about his neck of the woods. This could lead to them learning a lesson on doing more than solving the big problems. Also, having Anissa and Jennifer meet Vixon would be an amazing moment.

It’s doubtful that the CW keep Black Lightning separate from the Arrowverse for too long. Especially since they’ve already established that there is a multiverse it easy to explain how they could interact. Black Lightning has the opportunity to be different from all the other shows and start a trend. Not every DC show on the CW needs to connect. Sometimes the characters won’t mesh properly and forcing them to fit could be disastrous.
