4. Jeffrey Dean Morgan

The most obvious choice to play Thomas Wayne is someone who already played him. In the opening sequence of Batman v Superman, Jeffrey Dean Morgan plays Thomas Wayne in an iconic comic book scene. It’s the scene where Thomas and Martha Wayne (Lauren Cohen) are walking through the dark streets of Gotham before being murdered in front of their son, Bruce Wayne.

So why not have the Walking Dead actor reprise his role in Todd Phillips’ Joker movie? As a matter of fact, Morgan has expressed interest in reprising the role when it was thought that the DCEU Flash movie was Flashpoint. Phillips’ Joker movie isn’t Flashpoint but it’ll be great to see Morgan reprise the role sorta-speak  As Negan on The Walking Dead  Morgan has garnered a following. In fact, the fans are getting a little too close for comfort.

In addition to his excellent portrayal as the villainous Negan, Morgan’s resume consists of appearances in other tv shows like Supernatural, and Grey’s Anatomy. Morgan isn’t a stranger to the big screen, however, he’s starred in movies like Watchman and Losers, both of which were based on comic book characters. Moreover, his most recent big screen appearance was in the monster movie blockbuster Rampage.

This isn’t out of the realm of possibility despite his Thomas Wayne being part of the DCEU. After all, Djimon Hounsou plays more characters in the DCEU than Stan Lee does for Marvel. So, having Jeffrey Dean Morgan reprise his role as papa Wayne would be pretty cool to see.
