9 Batman villains that could potentially appear in Birds of Prey

3. Clayface 

If Birds of Prey wants to tap into something that resembles an old school horror movie, Clayface is the way to go. There are a few Clayface characters in DC Comics, Basil Karlo, Matt Hagen, Sondra Fuller, and Preston Payne. Before becoming Clayface, Basil Karlo was an actor who had an odd obsession with a horror movie.

After discovering that a studio was remaking his favorite horror movie, Basil went on a killing spree. He murdered the entire cast and crew to ensure the film would not be made. Hagen was a hand for hire who accidentally fell into clay bathed in chemicals that granted him shapeshifting powers. While an unpowered Clayface isn’t something that would need the Birds of Prey, a group of Clayface’s would. 

Preston Payne, the third Clayface sought after Hagen for a tissue sample to cure his own illness. The result left Preston deformed granting him the ability to turn anyone he touches to melt. Preston is more of an anti-hero — he only kills bad guys. Sondra is the most powerful Clayface. Her powers were a result of a voluntary experiment.

However,  unlike Hagen Sondra’s transformation is permanent. Furthermore, she can mimic the abilities of anything she transforms into. Karlo, however, does steal the abilities of all the Clayface’s to become the Ultimate Clayface. Still, it’ll be cool to see Birds of Prey take on a gang of Clayface’s.
