Margot Robbie asked for diversity leads and with characters like Renee Montoya and Cassandra Cain, she’ll get her wish. See who we think should join Robbie in Birds of Prey.

The DCEU leaked the lineup for Cathy Yan’s Birds of Prey. Among the names mentioned were Black Canary, Huntress, Cassandra Cain, and Renee Montoya. The former two heroines were part of the original trio while the latter two are new additions.

As expected, there hasn’t been any casting news, however, executive producer, Margot Robbie has expressed interest in diversifying the cast. Before the Birds of Prey character reveal, we gave our two-cents on some great actresses who could diversify the cast. We expect to hear some casting news sooner rather than later. Nevertheless, Robbie’s name is the only one attached to a role, Harley Quinn. Here are our four actresses we think would be perfect for Birds of Prey

Alexandra Daddario – Huntress

After her family was murdered Helena Bertinelli became a vigilante hell-bent on avenging her family. Unwilling to succumb to the criminal lineage that existed in her family, Helena fought for good. After joining Birds of Prey, Helena stopped using lethal methods to deal with criminals. Daddario’s been on everything from the small screen to the big-screen from horror to drama.

The 32-year old Daddario is itching for a comic book movie role. And there’s no better role than as Helena Bertinelli in Birds of Prey. Moreover, she’s of Italian descent so there’s a sense of authenticity that resembles the comics. With so many roles under her belt, there’s no doubt Daddario can play the Sicilian badass anti-hero.

For example, in True Detective, although Daddario’s role was small, it was important and convincing. As Lisa, Daddario proved that not even the great Woody Harrelson could dim her star. On the big screen, she was a shining star in a box office flop, Baywatch. In a more heroic role, she played a badass daughter of Athena, Annabeth in the Percy Jackson series.

Furthermore, her role in Texas Chainsaw Massacre, as Heather was darker than any of her previous roles.  She was tortured, traumatized, tough, and Daddario nailed it. The next time we’ll see Alexandra Daddario she’ll co-star with Henry Cavill in Nomis. And in the sequel to the 2015 box office hit, San Andreas.
