Three things DC Comics is beating Marvel Comics in.

Marvel Comics has been dominating the movies. Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War has broken records this year and also cracked the top five grossing movies domestic and top ten worldwide of all time list. As of now, it doesn’t look like the Marvel Cinematic Movie train will be slowing down any time soon.

The DC Comic Entertainment Universe has had some ups and downs. Wonder Woman was a big win for the DCEU, while Batman V Superman has been met with a lot of criticism. This has led to a lot of people saying that Marvel is winning the race between Marvel and DC Comics. Marvel may be winning at the movies, but DC Comics has dominated in other categories.

3. San Diego Comic-Con 2018

A prime example of DC Comics winning is this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. DC Comics premiered the Shazam and Aquaman trailers and they were a hit. Shazam’s trailer looked more light-hearted than anything we’ve seen in DC Comics since Adam West played Batman. Aquaman’s trailer has received criticism for the CGI, but it’s common for people to look for negative things. The good thing is the movie isn’t completed. Movie editors will go in and fix up odds and ends to fine tune things like that. When the movie is released I’m certain the CGI will look fine.

There was also the announcement of DC Comics’ online streaming service. Something Marvel Comics has yet to do. The online streaming service, which has a launch date of August 2018, is a big move. If DC doesn’t like their deal with the CW, they could use their own service when their deal runs out. Also, this gives them the freedom to put out shows they want to. The Titans trailer also debuted and Robin dropped the F-bomb! Not something they can do on the CW.
