2. Animated movies and shows

DC Comics has been known for years as a, pardon the expression, juggernaut when it comes to animated features. So much so that people have watched the animated movies and wondered why their cartoons seem to be much better than the cinematic releases. Doom was a different but amazing version of JLA’s epic arc Tower of Babel and Batman: Assault on Arkham is everything that Suicide Squad should have been. In fact, Batman: Assault on Arkham might have done better at the theaters and been better received.

Then there’s the television animated series. Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, Teen Titans, and Superman are all revered as some of the best cartoons we’ve seen in any genre.

Then there’s the best of them all. Batman the Animated Series is renowned as the best comic book cartoon of all time. The dark animation, amazing characters, and voice actors (Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy for example) brought people in. The phenomenal stories kept the audience watching. To this day people still enjoy the show.

Marvel has 1990’s cartoons like X-Men and Spider-Man, but neither of them compares to what DC Comics has done with their animated projects. But let’s act like Killing Joke never happened and we’ll also ignore Pryde of the X-Men.
