2. Alicia Vikander

There’s arguably no actress more talented than the uber-talented Alicia Vikander. One look at her filmography and you’ll see why she’s making an ideal Selina Kyle. There isn’t a role out there that Alicia Vikander can’t take on. Most recently she starred in the remake, Tomb Raider as Lara Croft. The film was not a critical success but Vikander showed that she can get down and dirty as a kick-ass action star. In a more dramatic role, Vikander played historically famous artist Gerda Wegener in The Danish Girl. The role earned her an Oscar in 2016 as best supporting actress.

Before that Vikander played the role of a conscious robot, Ava in Ex Machina. Her jaw-dropping performance earned her award nominations and put her on the radar as one of Hollywood’s greatest gems. The cunningness of Selina would be reminiscent of her role as Ava in Ex Machina — albeit less robotic.

As the leading lady in Tomb Raider, Vikander showed why she’s made for the role of Catwoman. As Lara, she stepped up to uncover hidden truths about her father. She goes from bike courier to adventurer displaying toughness and grit — just like Selina Kyle. It would be interesting to see Vikander is an even darker role as Selina Kyle who makes her way from prostitution to big-time criminal.
