Why Uncanny X-Men is important to Marvel’s Fresh Start.

In 2011, the original Uncanny X-Men series came to an end after 48 years and 544 issues. The X-Men weren’t the same after Schism that split the X-Men into two factions. There were a couple of Uncanny X-Men runs after the original, but they didn’t have the same feel. The first run was about the X-Men fighting together as a team and a family. There may have been different factions throughout their series.

For example, Magneto ran a team with Sabretooth and Psylocke for while. Unfortunately, none of the Uncanny X-Men comics had the pizzazz of the original run. Recently, it’s been reported that the Uncanny X-Men series will be making their return to comic books in November.

It’s been seven years since the X-Men have been a real unit. Cyclops and Wolverine split the team, Beast brought the original X-Men from the past messing up the timeline, Wolverine opened up a school and banned Cyclops or anybody who agreed with him, and they also warred with the Inhumans over Cyclops’ death. Hopefully this new brings the return of Marvel’s Mightiest Mutants the way they should be. Among the necessary things are interesting and thought-provoking stories.
