When Arrow returns for its seventh season, here are three things that must take place.

Arrow is set to return to our screens later this year for its seventh season. The show will take things in a new direction, focusing on Oliver’s adaptation to prison life in the SuperMax and the rise of a new threat in Star City. While the city will attempt to move past the vigilante-era, the debut of a new archer makes that incredibly difficult.

With so much anticipation surrounding the show’s upcoming season, there is a lot of pressure on it to succeed. However, that will be a lot easier if it takes a few steps to ensure that it delivers. Though the Season 7 Comic-Con trailer certainly suggests we could be in for one heck of a year, there are still a number of things that need to happen in order for the show to be a success.

While certain aspects like a great villain and compelling storyline are always important, there are some factors more specific to Arrow itself that can be improved upon going forward. And if the show takes care of these issues, we may have a great season on our hands.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at three things that the show must do in order to make its seventh season a resounding success.
