Supergirl’s third season provided us with plenty of memorable moments, but these five stood out among the rest.

Supergirl‘s third outing was definitely one of the show’s most entertaining seasons yet. It wasn’t perfect and had some noticeable issues, but the storyline was always engaging and there were some pleasant surprises in there that allowed us to overlook its shortcomings and enjoy everything it had to offer, including its new cast members. With the permanent promotion of Katie McGrath, we got a lot more Lena Luthor, and the introduction of Odette Annable as Sam Arias provided us with one of the year’s most enticing storylines.

Season 3 saw a number of major things take place in National City, most importantly the rise of the unstoppable Reign. However, during that time we also saw Mon-El return, Alex and Maggie split up and the unexpected returns of J’onn’s father M’yrnn and Kara’s mother Alura — both of whom were thought to be dead by their respective children.

The season played with our emotions, inspired us with hope, brought us to tears and thrilled us beyond belief. But when all is said and done, in a season full of Worldkillers, Martian mythology, alien planets and split personalities, which moments truly stuck out as the season’s finest? Let’s find out.
