3. The Legion of Super-Heroes take on Reign

When Mon-El made his triumphant return, he revealed that he hadn’t come alone. Somehow arriving from the future, he had brought along his wife Imra and 12th-level intellect Brainiac 5. The trio would reveal that together, they were known as the Legion of Super-Heroes. Of course, us comic book fans were super excited to see the Legion in action, but the show cleverly made us wait for it, heightening our excitement and anticipation.

When Kara had been so badly beaten by Reign, Mon-El, Imra and Brainy finally took it upon themselves to stop the demonic warrior. Thus, dressed in their Legion uniforms, they set out on a new mission to help save the world. But they made sure to do it in style, as they blasted Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ On A Prayer” from their ship to get her attention.

Seeing that ship rise out of the water with the song playing in the background was an awe-inspiring sight. This ultimately put Reign on notice: The Legion of Super-Heroes had arrived. Things got even more epic when J’onn showed up and Kara returned to help the team take the fight to her.

For comic book fans, seeing Supergirl and Martian Manhunter team up with the Legion was easily one of most awesome sights of the season, and it will undoubtedly go down in history as one of the best of the entire series.
