How can Iron Fist success in its second season?

When season two of Iron Fist was announced, it wasn’t met with much praise. Season one was criticized by almost everyone who watched. Some people didn’t even bother finishing it.

Season two of Iron Fist comes a few months after season two of Luke Cage. During episode ten, we saw a different Danny Rand. Danny was met with more praise in that one episode than he did in his entire first season. Having seen the reviews of him, it makes sense that Marvel would ride that momentum. But it’s going to take more than momentum for season two of Iron Fist to succeed.

5. The acting must improve

The biggest complaint in Iron Fist is the acting. Finn Jones portrayal of Danny Rand was abysmal, Jessica Stroup as Joy Meachum was bland, and they were the two of the main characters. Thankfully, Jessica Henwick (Colleen Wing) and Tom Pelphrey (Ward Meachum) did a good job keeping the show moderately entertaining. Season two of Iron Fist is going to need everyone to step their game up in order for the series to survive.

This will sound harsh, but Jessica Stroup stunk it up for the first three-quarters of the show. However, Stroup got better towards the end of the season. If she keeps that same energy going forward, she could be the perfect corporate villain entering season 2. As for Finn Jones, he is the most important part of this series. It’s named after his character after all.
