Ultimate Herman Schultz (Shocker)

We’ve seen the Shocker in the 616 universe and in Spider-Man: Homecoming, but you’ve never seen the Shocker like this. In the Ultimate Universe, Shocker is one of the worst villains of all time. He’s just flat out a joke. Whenever he robbed a bank he was immediately confronted and stopped by Spider-Man. Heck, one time he cried and said, “Leave me alone!” He’s a joke of a character and has never gotten any respect from his peers. So what makes him a movie worthy character? It’s all about his backstory.

Herman Schultz is an example of how people feel in the workforce. Work your butt off only to have a big company take your ideas and fire you. After going to M.I.T., Schultz went on to work for Roxxon. He created weapons for them and then was later fired. He only took on this life of crime because he was treated unfairly. Schultz is a character that people could relate to and get behind. The story could even end with him getting away from his life of crime and going after Roxxon. If not, it could be a comedy where he constantly gets the snot kicked out of him.
