1. Could introduce Superman’s most dangerous foe

The introduction of Supergirl in the DCEU could act as a setup point for Brainiac. Oren Uziel can use Man of Steel prequel for a Brainiac Superman showdown. One way to introduce Brainiac is to have him invade Krypton at some point during Kara’s time in Argo City. It can be a talking point throughout the beginning of the film or even shown, and her sheer fear of Brainiac’s return could serve as motivation for her joining the Explorer Guild. In fact, in the comics, it’s Supergirl who tells Superman the story of Brainiac devouring Kandor.

Brainiac, as DC fans know, is a 12th lever intellect from the planet Colu. The technological organic telepathic being shrinks and devours worlds and collects them as souvenirs. Of course, he could come to earth seeking the last two survivors of Krypton which leads to a Superman and Brainiac showdown.

No matter what happens with Oren Uziel’s Supergirl story we imagine he’ll take what Zack Snyder has already set up. The Man of Steel Prequel comic is ideal for so many reasons, one being a unique intergalactic story of a heroes accidental journey to earth. Of course, there’s plenty of source material but none better connects Kara to the DCEU.
