Supergirl: Which version will we get in a DCEU movie?

Post-Crisis Supergirl
Most people probably know this version of Supergirl as well. She does not appear until 2004, in the Superman/Batman series underwriter Jeph Loeb. Over a time DC Comics only wanted Superman as the last survivor of Krypton. Eventually, they eased up and allowed for Supergirl to return. Between here and Crisis On Infinite Earths we had a radically different Supergirl, that we just will not cover. You could almost argue that one is simply not Supergirl.
Kara Zor-El is jettisoned to Earth after Argo City is swept up under the collector, Brainiac. Hence, her parents are still alive. This one change has become a cornerstone in the character’s origin today. She is chronologically older than Superman, however her ship is caught in a large green Kryptonite meteorite which held her in a state of suspended animation for much of the journey. Therefore, she takes the age of a teenage girl. She is taken by Wonder Woman, where she lives and trains under the Amazons for a brief time.
A lot of this Supergirl’s tale is about finding her own place and identity. She is kidnapped by Darkseid, goes to the 31st Century, becomes Lana Lang’s adoptive niece as her secret identity and more. Kara even considers the Trinity as her adoptive parents.
We have a whole buffet of goodies to use in a film here. Batman and Superman finding her! Turning her over to Wonder Woman, we can watch a scene of her training on Themyscira! This origin is just asking to make use of the shared universe concept. Sadly, Warner Bros. does not want to go the full shared universe like the Marvel Cinematic Universe. On the other side, almost every film feeds into the next one or previous one. The DCEU wants a shared universe, but with more isolated films, if at all. This means cutting on cameos as well. I dare say to maybe borrow the Wonder Woman bit, given how successful she is. No doubt, they may even use the Brainiac point as well.
