3. Spider-Man v. Venom

Before, and throughout the development of Venom, fans fully expected that Sony Universe of Marvel Characters could exist without Spider-Man. After all, Sony is developing an entire Spider-Man-less universe based off characters from his rogue gallery.

Since then, Sony made it clear that their PG-13 film on Eddie Brock was their way of hedging their bets for a potential Spidey/Venom showdown. As a matter of fact m, there’s a chance we can see Tom Holland play Spider-Man for Sony. In 2017, Holland told Empire Magazine that it’ll be cool to play Spider-Man for a long time.:

"“Peter Parker is a character we see [in the comic books] as a 15-year-old boy and then as a 35-year-old man… It would be really cool if it pans out  because it means I would be Spider-Man for a very long time.”"

The idea of Tom Holland and Tom Hardy crossing paths in a crossover is cool, to say the least. Having Spider-Man take on Venom makes everything right in the comic book world and we will see in one of the two films. We’re willing to bet that Spider-Man isn’t the only thing we’ll see. There’s also more to the symbiote’s and we expect this trilogy to dig a lot deeper.
