Riverdale Rewind: The best ship moments from season 2
Falice
As heartbreaking as this scene was, it was the definitive Falice moment from season two and from the series as a whole. It not only confirmed that Alice (Mädchen Amick) and FP (Skeet Ulrich) were canon way back in high school but also that FP was the father of Alice’s baby as fans had long suspected.
Those reveals are only part of what made this moment so incredible, though. The scene demonstrated more than any flirting had that Alice and FP have an incredibly strong connection. Alice had never been more vulnerable around anyone before, and FP had never been less gruff. They are each other’s person without a doubt. Additionally, Amick and Ulrich deserve major commendation for delivering gut-wrenching, series-high performances.
Jarchie
Whether you ship them as an OTP or BrOTP, Archie and Jughead have one of the strongest relationships of anyone on Riverdale. Yes, they came into conflict in season two because of Archie’s affiliations with the Northside and Jughead’s with the Southside. But, ultimately, they chose to stand by one another as was most strongly demonstrated by this heartwarming scene.
Arch and Jug were able to unite the town by defeating the prejudices that had threatened to tear it apart because they exemplified how such differences could be overcome. And, they did so without at least one of them dying, which is pretty rare when it comes to people from different sides of the tracks standing together (see: Romeo and Juliet or Westside Story). Good for them!
Jeronica
Yes, they kissed. But let’s be real: that was more of a stunt (on the characters’ part and on Riverdale‘s) than anything else. So, here’s a more underrated but also more meaningful moment that Veronica and Jughead shared in season two.
Within the Core Four, Ronnie and Jug definitely have the least developed relationship. They’re both closer to Betty and Archie than to each other, at least for now. But, in this scene from the finale, Veronica went out of her way to help Jughead and FP after Hiram (Mark Consuelos) retaliated against them for standing up to him.
