How the DCEU and Justice League could have looked

Green Lantern – Ryan Reynolds

In this what-if scenario, the Green Lantern writers and director Martin Campbell developed a better film. The film would have still been a solo movie but served as a linear connection to Superman Returns. During Superman’s space exploits he could have discovered the Lantern Corps. Of course, during his time away from one of the dying members crashed on earth. As the story goes the Lantern ring chose Hal Jordan who was played by Ryan Reynolds. Yes, he would have still made Deadpool since that movie didn’t happen until 2016 — yes our what if is that perfect.

Flash – Bradley Cooper

There are a number of roles that Bradley Cooper could have played in this what if scenario. Ideally, we settled on the Barry Allen aka The Flash. There’s arguably no better role more suited for Cooper. In fact, rumors circled about Warner Bros. eagerness to obtain Cooper’s services for this very role Cooper, of course, went on to play Rocket Raccoon for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. We’d imagine Warner Bros. not letting him slip away to their comic book competition.

Shazam – Henry Cavill

Like a couple of other actors on the list, Cavill was destined to play in a comic book movie. More specifically, he was meant to be part of the DCEU. Cavill was almost Superman in 2006 but lost out to Brandon Routh. Cavill doesn’t get enough credit for his acting chops but he’s proven doubters wrong with Man From UNCLE and Mission Impossible. In the former, Cavill wasn’t exactly Shazam, but he was comedic. We’re confident that not only would he have been part of DC but he would have made a great Shazam. Comparably to his role in Man of Steel, Cavill makes Shazam look like he’s ripped straight from the comics.
