What are the good and the bad parts of Iron Fist season 2?

Iron Fist season 2 was a success. A lot of viewers went into season 2 expecting the worst and got a very solid season. The creators of the show seem to have listened to the complaints, because they fixed a lot of the problems that plagued the previous season. Despite all the greatness that came in season 2, there are still a few things that need work if the franchise is going to continue. Here are the good and the bad elements of Iron Fist season 2.

The Good: Davos

Maybe the biggest and most important change was a memorable villain. Davos didn’t have a big role in season one, but his introduction ended with him becoming great in season 2. First, Davos wasn’t just some random jealous goon. Once you find out how he lost the fight to determine who would be the Iron Fist, you could see there were some shenanigans going on. Was his father justified in stopping the fight, despite Davos not quitting? It’s debatable. Even after he lost, Davos still tried to be friends with Danny Rand. Once he realized Danny was too indecisive about what he wanted to do, he decided to take the power of the Iron Fist from Danny.

Unlike season one, we cared about this antagonist. Davos actually wanted to make the city a better place. His plan to use the Iron Fist for good was a noble one. The only problem was he had too much anger and resentment to do the right thing. In the end, he became like the Hand. He talked kids into being goons and tried to rule through fear. After finding out how his mother treated him in his youth, you can better understand why he became so bitter and obsessive. Overall, he’s a great change from the forgettable Hand in season 1.
