4. Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman
Gal Gadot had a huge weight on her shoulders. Not only was the future of the DCEU riding on her, but the future of leading females in comic book movies. Despite all that pressure, she took the role as Wonder Woman and made it look easy. Gal Gadot proved that a strong female lead was more than enough to lead a franchise. While people question whether Batman V Superman and Justice League are good movies, no one had anything negative to say about her performance in either of them. To some, she was the best part of Batman v. Superman and she wasn’t in the movie a ton.
Gal Gadot went on to do Wonder Woman and many call it the crown jewel of the DCEU. Wonder Woman balanced being naive, smart, and very strong all while being an amazing leader to a group of male soldiers. If not for her, critics would unfortunately still believe that women can’t lead a movie (even though they’ve been doing it for years). Gal Gadot is going to be heralded as one of the greatest comic book actors of all time. I can’t wait to see what she does in the future.
