3. Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson/Deadpool
People waited for years to get a Deadpool movie and it didn’t disappoint. It was difficult not ranking Ryan Reynolds higher than this. First, Ryan Reynolds cares about the character and it shows; so much so that he fought hard to make the movie R-rated. It was a must if Deadpool was going to be done right. Reynolds made Deadpool everything the fans wanted him to be. Beyond the jokes (which were hilarious), Deadpool was a caring person. His relationship with Vanessa was a major part of the first movie and his need to be a better person for her in the second movie was amazing.
Deadpool isn’t for everyone. However, even with it being an R-rated movie, fans continued to show up. Ryan Reynolds managed to take all of the raunchy jokes and violence and make it fun. As a major Deadpool fan, watching Ryan Reynolds was like watching the comic book come to life. We also can’t forget about how great he was in the promotional materials. If Ryan Reynolds was Deadpool in more movies, he’d probably be ranked higher. The final two actors have more films (and franchises) under their belts.
