18. Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Tom Holland was the third actor to play Peter Parker/Spider-Man in less than two decades. Everything was riding on him to save the franchise and he did just that. Holland became the young, classic Peter Parker we’ve waited to see for years combined with a new age Spider-Man, who made references to the “old guys” on the Avengers. In Spider-Man: Homecoming, he really showed that he was the right actor for the job. He may even have the most memorable moment of Avengers: Infinity War when he said, “Mr. Stark, I don’t feel so good.” He will be a key part in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
17. Ron Perlman as Hellboy
In a world where The Thing was described as looking like a Rice Krispies Treat, the Hellboy experiment could have gone horribly wrong. Thankfully, Ron Perlman went in and nailed his performance. Perlman was as gritty as you’d expect Hellboy to be, while managing to maintain all of his goofiness and need to be wanted. Even though Hellboy II: The Golden Army wasn’t the success the studio wanted it to be, it wasn’t because of Perlman. He should be commended for bringing new fans to the Hellboy comic book franchise.
