Wonder Woman vs. Captain Marvel: Who wins?

Who wins in a fight between DC Comics’ Wonder Woman and Marvel Comics’ Captain Marvel?
Wonder Woman is easily the crown jewel of the DC Cinematic Universe. Gal Gadot’s performance in every movie she’s been in has been great and everyone is anticipating her next movie (Wonder Woman 1984). Recently, the first trailer for Captain Marvel (starring Brie Larson as Captain Marvel) dropped and people are excited (and making memes of her punching an old lady).
Two of the toughest and strongest females in comic books will both have movies coming out in 2019 and there is one question people have been debating for a while; who would win in a fight?
Captain Marvel and Wonder Woman both have advantages and disadvantages in this fight. What are they? Who’s faster, stronger, and more skilled? Which fighter is willing to go the extra mile and who has the best backup? Let’s break all of this down and declare a winner once and for all.
Strength and skill
Both Captain Marvel and Wonder Woman are heavyweights in the strength department. Both of them acquired strength from an un-Earthly source. Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel) got her’s from the Kree while Diana Prince (Wonder Woman) is a demigod. Wonder Woman was trained by some of best warriors the Earth has ever seen; Amazons of Themyscira. Captain Marvel is a versed fighter with years of experience. Which one of them has the advantage when it comes to sheer strength and skill.
While Captain Marvel is no slouch, Wonder Woman has the advantage here. Wonder Woman can trade punches with Superman and the Hulk. Danvers couldn’t take hit from either of them for an extended period of time without first absorbing the power of an energy blast. If Wonder Woman can turn this into a fight in close quarters she will use all the skills she has she’ll dominate this fight and it won’t even be close. Carol Danvers has had her fair share of throw-downs, but she’s never fought someone with this combination of power and skill before.
