2. Logan

It’s funny how changing one thing like going from PG-13 to rated R can make all the difference. Logan was a perfect example. It may have taken Fox 18 years to figure it out, but better late than never. Logan gave us everything we’ve been missing from a Wolverine movie. He was the bitter old man who still helped his family but still the caring father to a young mutant. And he was a fierce fighter when he was tested. Patrick Stewart as Xavier was both hilarious when he was demented, but sad when you realized what happened to him and what he’d done to the X-Men. Then there was Dafne Keen as X-23. She was brilliant and she barely spoke. A debate could be made that she was the best part of the movie.

Logan was the perfect ending to Hugh Jackman’s stint as Wolverine. In the end, he died doing the one thing he’s always tried to do; protect people. I still shed a tear in the end when X-23 holds Logan’s hand as he dies. This may not be the best movie on this list, but it’s definitely the most emotionally driven movie on this list. It definitely had the best acting from top to bottom. Logan was more than just a superhero movie. It damn sure better than any of the Oscar-winning movies barely anyone saw.
