Dark Avengers: Why they’re one of the best Avengers rosters

Introducing new characters
The next phase in the MCU is going to need some new heroes and villains. This roster is full of that. Since Spider-Man is part of the MCU, that means Norman Osborn is available. While he’s known for being the Green Goblin, Norman as a person is more dangerous and a better villain the Goblin. Karla Sofen (Moonstone) is a powerhouse with a ton of potential; a person who’s easy to dislike and the perfect villain for Captain Marvel.
Ares is a brute who is the perfect combination of skill and strength. Someone who could have a memorable fight with the Hulk. Then there’s the Sentry. A guy who’s power set doesn’t seem to have a limit. He could be both a hero and a villain.
Even if this isn’t a movie starring the Dark Avengers, they make a formidable team for the good Avengers to fight. The Avengers haven’t fought a super-powered team that can really test them. This could be the first time the Avengers go up against a force like this and lose collectively. It won’t be like Thanos and Ultron who both had an army. This could be an old-fashioned butt whooping. Who knows, maybe we could get the Dark Avengers VS the X-Men!
