Class is in! How did the characters from Daredevil do in this season?

Season 3 of Daredevil was a masterpiece. There were no bad episodes and it maintained everything that the fans loved from the story to the action. The show also showed a dramatic improvement on what was already a great cast of characters. Each of the main characters served a purpose and added to the show. Since not every character is created equal, which ones were the best and which ones were the most important?

Matt Murdock

You have to start with the best. Matt Murdock showed why this show was named after him. It’s more than just because he’s the hero. It’s because he’s that damn good. Matt’s character evolved throughout the series and it showed. He was beaten and defeated, depressed, and ended up back on his feet. It didn’t stop there. Matt also had to deal with his demons. Could he go to a place and break his rule of never killing? Would he become what he hated? Watching Matt be the person he was after everything that happened to him was a sight to behold.

Grade: A+

Matt’s best moment was easily the speech he gave to Wilson Fisk at the end of the series. The emotion that he put into that scene was pure emotion. It was also one of the only times that Fisk was completely defeated. There was nothing he could do and it was all because of Matt Murdock.

Wilson Fisk

Wilson Fisk was the beautiful monster he’s always been. In this series, he showed his dominance even when he couldn’t leave his prison cell. People feared him so much that they wouldn’t even say his name in private. Fisk remained the antagonist you couldn’t help but like. Even though he was a terrible person, listening to him talk about how he did everything for Vanessa was sweet. Showed that there was a heart under all of that immorality. He may have not deserved to be happy, but I couldn’t help but be sad when he was separated from Vanessa as he said his wedding was the best day of his life. Also, the way he played Dex for a fool was glorious.

Grade: A+

Fisk putting on his white suit after being in prison and then house arrest was brilliant. After everything that Fisk had been through and put together, he was victorious. All that was left was to complete his goal of being the true King of New York.
