Classic Cyclops

First and maybe the most important, classic Cyclops has to make a return. If young Cyclops gets an age boost, that’s fine. He just has to be grown and a leader. Wolverine and Storm may be the most popular X-Men and Kitty Pryde has definitely made great leaps in character, but Cyclops in the heart and soul of that team.

Cyclops is also one of the best leaders in the Marvel Universe and isn’t popular because people say he has a stick where the sun doesn’t shine. But he makes the decisions no one else is willing to. He’s also OK with taking the blame as long as long as his team survives.

Cyclops also has to make amends with Hank McCoy (Beast). Hank is Cyclops’ moral compass and oldest friend. When the Skrulls invaded Earth, Cyclops had Beast make a version of the Legacy VIrus that only affected the Skrulls. He did this knowing the Beast would never create something that kills without a cure. Cyclops has to understand that a lot of the X-Men stopped recognizing the person he became over the years. Cyclops will be back and he will be better than ever.
