5. Claire Temple
The former night nurse and ex full-time nurse at Metro-General Hospital, Claire Temple started out mending the wounds for the likes of Matt Murdock/Daredevil (Charlie Cox) in his very first foray as The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, then Luke Cage (Mike Colter) after an emergency encounter with strongwoman, Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter).
At some point thereafter, Claire became a valuable ally to Cage, after befriending him, helping Cage uncover his late wife’s scientific files and research and the truth about Reeva Connors’ part to play in the artificial skin resistance experiment headed by Dr. Noah Burstein.
Claire aided Dr. Burstein in healing Cage after he got shot by a Judas Bullet by undergoing a similar experimental procedure via acid bath to remove the shrapnel. She helped thwart the likes of Cottonmouth and Diamondback.
Eventually, Claire and Cage had developed a steamy relationship after his release from prison.
After the presumed death of Daredevil, Cage’s popularity in Harlem grew, but he still had to deal with Mariah Dillard’s criminal empire and the threat of an enhanced criminal known as Bushmaster. Between trying to dismantle Mariah’s organization and going through rounds against Bushmaster, the stress and Cage’s growing ruthless actions against criminals, strained their relationship.
The motivation behind Mary meeting Claire would be little to none, except in a situation where she may be injured either during one of her private investigations or mercenary operations as her cruel alternate, Walker. Due to Claire’s connection to Danny and Colleen, even Detective Knight, Walker may use that to her advantage. However, the odds of Claire’s peers and neighborhood heroes warning her about Mary and Walker is quite likely, but does not mean she is fully protected against her.
If Walker returns, it will be through Danny, but would have to be something dire which is the least of cases where Mary or Claire vice-versa will come across each other.
