1. Deathstroke

Who else was it going to be? Slade Wilson was the one-time friend and mentor of Oliver Queen who was driven mad by his exposure to Mirakuru. After Oliver defeated him on Lian Yu, he was presumed dead, but the Mirakuru in his system kept him alive and he resurfaced in Starling City.

Haunted by the ghost of Shado, Slade believed that Oliver was the reason that he wasn’t able to be with the woman he loved. Actually, Oliver was given an impossible choice, but Slade’s mental state deteriorated and he wouldn’t listen to reason. He wouldn’t rest until he had shown Oliver true despair and this all culminated when he killed Moira Queen in front of both of her children.

Manu Bennett’s portrayal was both menacing and sympathetic. The relationship between the two characters was brilliant as well. It had been nurtured as Slade gained respect for his young protegé before being driven mad. It was fitting, then, that when Oliver was backed into a corner by Prometheus, he turned to his former mentor for help.

Seeing the Green Arrow and Deathstroke fight together was truly a sight to behold. Sadly, because of the potential Deathstroke film, it looks like we’ve seen the end of Slade Wilson for now. But, his send-off in Season 6 was certainly a high-point for the season.
